Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026 · Syvara Learning, LLC

This policy explains what personal information Syvara Learning, LLC ("we", "us") collects through Dr. Sharon's Math Platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the Platform, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Account details: your email address, the name you give us, and (only if you choose to set one) a password, which we store in scrambled ("hashed") form.
Purchases: what you bought, when, and the amount. Card details are entered directly with Stripe; we never receive your full card number.
Learning activity: the solutions you unlock and your conversations with the Socratic AI Math Tutor, so you can return to them later.
Tutoring bookings: session time, level, country, course, topic, any notes you add, and messages you send to Dr. Sharon.
Technical data: a small sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and basic server logs (such as IP address and time of request) used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

To create your account, send sign-in codes, and keep your account secure.
To provide what you paid for: unlocking solutions, your subscription, AI tutor replies, and tutoring sessions.
To send messages about your account, purchases and sessions (confirmations, video links, changes). We do not send marketing emails unless you ask to receive them.
To improve the Platform's content and fix problems.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Services that process data for us

We use a small number of trusted providers, each only for its specific job:

Stripe: payments, subscriptions and refunds.
Brevo: sending emails such as sign-in codes and booking confirmations.
Anthropic: generates the Socratic AI Math Tutor's replies. The messages you send to the tutor are processed by Anthropic under its commercial terms to produce a response.
Our hosting provider: runs the Platform's servers and database.
Video meeting services (such as Zoom or Google Meet): used for tutoring sessions under their own privacy policies.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one that keeps you signed in and protects forms from misuse. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. How long we keep information

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except purchase records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes (usually up to 7 years).

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by emailing contact@syvaralearning.com. You can update your name in My Account at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore or certain US states), local data protection laws may give you additional rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

7. International transfers

The Platform is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the US and wherever our providers operate. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as our providers' standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), verified email sign-in, hashed passwords, and limit access to personal information to what is needed to run the Platform. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account safe.

9. Age

The Platform is intended for students aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a younger person has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or on the Platform before they take effect.
