Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Dr. Sharon's Math Platform (the "Platform"), operated by Syvara Learning, LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.

1. The service

The Platform offers university-level mathematics learning: a question bank with worked solutions, the Socratic AI Math Tutor, and paid one-on-one tutoring sessions with Dr. Sharon. Features, courses and content may change over time.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these terms for you.
You sign in with a verified email address. Keep access to your email and any password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
An account is for one person. Sharing an account or its paid access is not allowed.
Give accurate information, and keep your email address up to date so we can reach you about purchases and sessions.

3. Subscriptions

Monthly plans (Basic, Premium and GQE) are billed in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime from My Account → Manage / cancel subscription. Your access continues until the end of the month you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
If you switch plans, the price difference for the rest of the month is charged or credited automatically.
If we change a plan's price, we will tell you by email at least 14 days before it applies to your next renewal.

4. Single purchases and payments

Individual solutions, full worked solutions from the AI tutor, course passes and tutoring sessions are one-time purchases. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars and may not include taxes or fees charged by your bank.

5. Tutoring sessions

Sessions are held online by video at the time shown on your booking (in the time zone stated on the booking page).
You can cancel online for a full refund up to 24 hours before the start. Within 24 hours, please message Dr. Sharon from your booking page; any change or refund is at her discretion.
If Dr. Sharon cancels a session, you receive a full refund.
If you do not join within 15 minutes of the start, the session may be treated as missed without a refund.

6. The Socratic AI Math Tutor

The AI tutor is powered by an artificial intelligence model. It is designed to guide you step by step, but it can make mistakes. Check important results, and do not rely on it as your only source for graded work, professional or safety-critical decisions. Daily message limits apply to keep the service fair for everyone.

7. Academic integrity

The Platform is for learning and practice. Do not use it to complete exams, quizzes or other assessments where outside help is not allowed, or to submit our solutions as your own work. Follow your institution's academic integrity rules.

8. Our content

All questions, solutions, explanations, code and other materials on the Platform are owned by Syvara Learning, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own personal study. You may not copy, share, sell, post publicly, or automatically download ("scrape") them, or use them to train AI models, without our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Platform: no attempts to break its security or paywall, no automated access, no harassment of the tutor, and no unlawful or abusive content in messages or uploads. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any current subscription.

10. Disclaimers

We work hard to make solutions and explanations accurate, but the Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any grade, exam result or admission outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Syvara Learning, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, unless the consumer laws of your country give you the right to bring a claim where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or on the Platform before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the updated terms.
